The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the exam date for JEE 2018 exam. The JEE 2018 exam will be conducted on 8th April 2018.

Joint Entrance Examination – JEE Main is a top-level Engineering Entrance Exam of our country conducted by CBSE Board. Through JEE Main 2018 exam candidates can get admissions in B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch Courses in NITs, IIITs, and other engineering institutions.

As you all will be aware, in order to get admission in IITs one has to clear the JEE Advanced Examination after JEE Main.

Candidates who qualify JEE Main Exam will be considered eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination. The examination date of JEE Advance 2018 exam is 20th May 2018.

Top 2, 24,000 candidates (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper-1 of JEE Main 2018 examination will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2018 exam.

Important dates for JEE 2018 Advanced examination:

Eligibility Criteria JEE Main 2018

Date of Birth:

  • Candidates, whose birth date falls on or after 1st October, 1993 is eligible,
  • In the case of SC, ST and PwD candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. who are born on or after 1st October 1988 are eligible.

Year of Appearance in Qualifying Exam:

  • Candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying exam in the year 2016 or 2017; or are appearing for the same in 2018 are eligible to write the exam.

 Number of Subjects in the Qualifying Exam:

  • Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th in order to be eligible for writing JEE Main 2018 exam.

Number of Attempts:

  • The number of attempts a candidate can avail at JEE Main exam shall be limited to THREE.

Score & Result for JEE Main 2018 exam:

  • The score of Paper-I of JEE Main 2018 for all candidates will be declared by 30th April 2018.
  • This score shall comprise the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE Main 2018 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE Advance 2018.
