Dear GATE aspirants, it’s time to pull up your socks as GATE 2018 Admit Card and exam schedules have been released. The GATE 2018 exam will be held in online mode on Saturdays and Sundays of next month i.e. on 3rd -4th February and 10th -11th February 2018.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is is a National Level Entrance Test conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) on a rotational basis. This year, the organizing body of GATE 2018 exam is IIT Guwahati which last conducted GATE in the year 2010.It is a National Level Entrance Test through which candidates find admission into M. Tech./M.E./PhD Programs in Indian Institute of higher education like IITs, IISERs, IISc and other known Institutes of India with financial assistance provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The score is also accepted by a number of technical government and private institutions for different job roles.

GATE 2018: How to download your admit card

  1.  Visit the official GATE Online Application Processing System website
  2. Enter your registered email/ enrollment id
  3. You should now be able to download your admit card

GATE 2018: Exam Pattern 

It is obligatory to have a look at the GATE exam pattern before the actual examination in February 2018. 

    • The exam shall be conducted in online mode only (Computer Based Test). 
    • There shall be a total of 65 questions to be attempted within 3 hours.
    • The questions in the examination shall include multiple choice questions (MCQs) and numerical questions. Virtual calculators will be provided to solve numerical  questions.
    • There’ll be no negative marking for numerical questions.

Please note that the GATE 2018 score will be valid for three years from the date of announcement of results.

Admissions to Postgraduate Programs (Master’s & Doctoral) with MHRD and other Government, scholarships/assistantships in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science are open to those who qualify for GATE 2018 exam.

Every year, nearly 10 lakh candidates appear for the exam, making it one of the most sought-after and competitive exams in the country. PSUs too use GATE scores for recruiting candidates for various prestigious jobs with attractive remuneration. GATE 2018 score will be valid for three years from the date of announcement of results. Admissions to Postgraduate Programs (Master’s & Doctoral) with MHRD and other Govt. Scholarships/Assistantships in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science are open to those who qualify for GATE 2018 exam.
