Now that the date sheet of the CBSE Board Exams is out, it is important for students to fine-tune their preparations in the little time that remains. Analyzing the previous year question papers is a good way of doing just that. A closer look at the questions provides a general idea about the type they can expect, as well as throws light on the topics that are crucial, in terms of marks or questions.  This way, students can pay extra attention to topics, on the basis of their goals and expectations. For instance, someone who is content with a score in the 60–70% range can comfortably leave out a unit (or two) while preparing for the exam. On the other hand, a student aiming for a 90+ score will need to ensure being comfortable with the different types of questions asked in the previous years’ papers.
