    The AIIMS MBBS entrance exam 2019 was conducted on May 25 & 26 across 151 cities. Those who qualify will be eligible for admission to 1,207 medical seats at 15 AIIMS spread across the country. More than 4 lakh students appeared for this prestigious exam, which was held in online format.

    Opinions of the Students

    Most of the candidates found the paper easier, as compared to that of last year. There was a consensus that Physics was the toughest of the three subjects. Questions from Biology, however, were easier, as compared to Chemistry.

    Salient Points

    • The question paper was moderately difficulty.
    • As the paper was easier compared to the last year’s, cut-off is expected to be higher this time around.
    • Of the three sections, Biology was the easiest. Chemistry was moderately difficult, while Physics was the most difficult.
    • Compared to NEET 2019, AIIMS 2019 was more difficult.

     

    The AIIMS 2019 paper had 200 questions, divided into 5 sections:

    Section I: Physics (60 qs)

    Section II: Chemistry (60 qs)

    Section III: Biology (60 questions

    Section IV:  General Knowledge (10 qs)

    Section V: Aptitude and Logical Thinking (10 qs)

    The questions were multiple-choice type; with every correct answer fetching 1 mark, while 1/3 mark was deducted for every incorrect answer.

    AIIMS 2019 results will be announced on June 12, 2019. Once the results are out, the counseling process for the students will start. Candidates will need to log on to the official website, where a pdf file with all the results will be made available.
