Various exams conducted by IBPS are:
- IBPS PO: Every year at national level for the post of Probationary Officer and Management Trainee, IBPS conducts IBPS PO/MT exam for Public Sector Banks. This exam is conducted in two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main Examination and in online mode i.e. computer based exam.
Applicants of this exam must abide by the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidate must hold a graduation degree from any recognized university in any discipline.
- To apply for this exam candidate age should be of 20 years (lower) and 30 years (upper) age limit.
- IBPS SO: For the recruitment of eligible candidates at the post of SO- Specialist Officer like Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale 1), Law Officer (Scale 1), Agriculture Field Officer, IT. Officer, HR/ Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer (Scale 1), Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts IBPS SO exam every year to recruit in various participating banks. All the candidates have to go through two stages of the exam- written exam and interview.
The aspirants of IBPS SO exams will have to surpass certain eligibility conditions:
- He or she must be an Indian citizen or a person of Indian origin.
- The minimum and maximum age limit of the candidate must be between 20 to 30 years.
- He or she must hold a graduate or a post graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute.
- IBPS Clerk: Another IBPS recruitment exam is the Common Written Examination CWE for recruitment of candidates in Clerical Cadre. This is also a national level exam. The selection procedure of IBPS Clerk exam includes two modules i.e. Preliminary exam and Main exam which are online or computer based examination.
Aspirants of IBPS Clerk exam must ensure that they fulfill these eligibility criteria before applying. Their candidatureship is deemed to be rejected if they do not fulfill the necessary criteria laid down under IBPS. The different parameters of eligibility criteria are:
- The aspirant should hold a graduate or equivalent degree from any centrally recognized university.
- The applicant should be in the age group of 20 to 28 year. However, there is a relaxation in the upper age limit for various categories.
- It is necessary for the candidate to have knowledge of computer.
- IBPS RRB: For the recruitment of Group “A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B”-Office Assistants (multipurpose), the online examination for the Common Recruitment Process is being conducted by IBPS named IBPS RRB exam. Candidates who get selected through the process of Preliminary exam, Main exam and Interview are provided allotment in various Regional Rural Banks of the country. For Officer Scale I Post, the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of Prelims, Main and Interview and for Officers Scale II and III shortlisting of candidates is done on the basis of single level examination and Interview.
Eligibility criteria for aspirants of IBPS RRB exam are:
- He or she must be a citizen of India or a person of Indian Origin.
- For scale III officer, the lower and upper age limit for the aspirant is between 21 to 40 years, for scale II it is 21 to 32 years, for scale I officer the age limit is 18 years to 30 years and for the office assistant it is between 18 years to 28 years of age.
- Educational qualification for office assistant post is a degree in any discipline from a recognized university and proficiency in computer and local language is a must. For Scale-I Officer Post a candidate must hold a degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Same is the case with Officer Scale –II(General Banking Officer) with 50% marks graduation in aggregate. For Officer Scale –II (SO) graduation or Masters in any discipline from a recognized university with 50% marks in aggregate with one or two years of experience in the relevant field. And for Scale –III Officers the candidate must hold a degree in any discipline from a recognized university having 50% marks and Minimum 5 years’ experience as an officer in a Bank/ or Financial Institution is required.
