WAT tips

Most IIMs have replaced GD (Group Discussion) with WAT (Writing Ability Test). It is conducted to thoroughly test/analyze the writing ability of a candidate. Because of the versatile topics, one should be prepared well to be able to answer the questions given during the main hour.
The topics range from social issues to economy to political affairs and more. Hence, it’s important to have an in-depth knowledge about general awareness and current happenings. Grammatical errors, punctuation errors, sloppy handwriting, intensified negative statements, among many, are some of the crucial points to keep in mind while seated for WAT session.

PI tips

Personal Interview (PI) is the final and most important part of the selection process. It is held to assess the mind, the verbal communication skill, the presentation of views and knowledge, and the ability to convince. For PI questions, strong GK is the key. Be updated with current affairs of national and international arena, business and economy, social issues, etc. Answer politely and on point, and avoid coming off too strong as it may display aggression. Reach the venue on time neatly dressed, maintain friendly body language, and finally, perfume yourself with confidence.

Congratulations! Best of love and luck!
