IIFT 2018 Cutoffs

The MBA(IB) programme is the most sought-after program in IIFT. The entrance exam was held at 20 test centres across India in paper pen mode on December 3, 2017. This year, while the total number of questions was reduced from 123 to 114, the number of sections increased from 4-6. Until last year, an aspirant could perform well in either DI or LR. Similarly, they could focus only on EU or RC. This year, however, performing well across all 6 sections was necessary to clear the sectional cut-offs.

Here’s a sneak peek from the IIFT 2018 analysis shared by our MBA faculty on the day of the exam.

“Unlike last year, IIFT did not prove to be easy or moderate. The paper was excruciatingly lengthy and some of the questions were agonizingly tricky. Questions in English came from unfamiliar areas. Hence, the overall difficulty level of the paper went a few notches higher.”

Overall, the cut-off this year is expected to decrease by 8-10 marks. Cut-offs for General, OBC, SC, and ST should be around 38-40, 33-35, 28-30 and 20-22 respectively. If you haven’t already checked our detailed analysis of the paper and expected cutoffs, you can still do so on our dedicated IIFT Analysis and Cutoff page.

All the best!
